Rust error code 20006: A battle royale shooter, Fortnite is all about surviving. Many people still complain about not being able to play the game normally despite it being one of the most popular. This rust error code 20006 is displayed when trying to start Fortnite. Even the game’s executable fails to launch because of a launcher issue. “Couldn’t start the game” is the message that follows.
Cause of rust error code 20006:
Most of the time, launching the game will give you the rust error code 20006 if EasyAntiCheat is missing from your computer or is in any other state of malfunction. Epic Games does not want you to enter the game if you have not been thoroughly screened for cheating and hacking.
Ways to fix rust error code 20006:
Verifying a game from the Fortnite launcher will also help fix any corrupt or missing game files that may have occurred. You can fool the game into thinking that you cheat when you don’t by corrupting data. Following are ways to fix rust error code 20006.
EasyAntiCheat may be fixed with this:
The game uses this Anti-Cheat service. As you play, it actively examines your setup for anything that can offer you an unfair advantage over other players. However, sometimes this service breaks down, and you’ll have to fix it yourself. The EasyAntiCheat tool is the most common cause of the issue. To improve the problem, follow the steps outlined below.
Putting “Fortnite” into the search bar:
The game’s main executable may be found by putting “Fortnite” into the search bar that appears when you click the Start menu or search button next to it. Once the executable is selected, right-click it and select “Open file location” from the context menu.
Default installation location:
This location may change depending on your machine’s architecture, but it’s typically C: Program Files Epic Games Fortnite. Fortnite may be accessed by right-clicking an entry in the search results and choosing Open File Location.
EasyAntiCheat is under the FortniteGame:
EasyAntiCheat is under the FortniteGame >> Binaries >> Win64 (or Win32, depending on your operating system) >> EasyAntiCheat directory. The EasyAntiCheat Setup.exe file should be in there somewhere. Right-click “EasyAntiCheat achieves better performance” in the folder and selects “Run as administrator” from the navigation pane that pops up.
1: To fix the problem, make sure Fortnite is selected from your games list and then click the Repair Service icon.
2: Try relaunching the game and seeing if the Fornite problem code 20006 remains after the “Installed Successfully” notice appears.
3: “Error Code: 20006 (Cannot create service (StartService failed: 1058))” is possibly the full error message.
4: As a bare minimum, we may conclude from 1058 that EAC has been disabled and must be re-enabled. EAC may have been “marked for deletion” by a 1072 error.
5: If you get an error message, you’ll know what to do next. Only a few minutes (maybe 10-15) of your time will need to address each of these issues.
On this page, you’ll discover three options:
1: Option A should be tried first if your error code was 1058, and if it doesn’t work, then try Option B.
2: You can bypass A and B and go straight to C if your fault was 1072. Return to Option B when you finish C.
3: If you’ve been banned for cheating, this will not work. People who are experiencing issues with EAC can use this workaround.
Installing/repairing again didn’t fix the problem, so what now?
There must be something more preventing EAC from working at this point, as none of the prior procedures have worked. What or why, may you be wondering? We don’t know for sure. It would help if you reactivated it. Although this may appear to be an easy task, there are a few things to consider. But we’re here to help, so follow these instructions to reactivate EAC:
Step 1: Open “Services” in the first place. Open the Start menu in Windows 10 and type “services” in the search engine to access them.
Step 2: Right-click on “EasyAntiCheat,” then choose “Properties” from the menu that appears.
Step 3: Once you’ve opened the Properties box, look for “Startup type” and change it from “Disabled” to “Automatic” or “Automatic” if you’re concerned about the startup speed.
Step 4: To complete the process, you must click “Apply” and close all of the windows you opened during the process. After this, your game is ready to go.
After following these instructions, you should play the game again without any issues. However, there is a chance that the problem will resurface the next time you reboot your computer.
Elimination? Resolve issue 20006:
An issue with the third step occurred when you tried to activate the EAC again, and an error message displayed stating that the EAC had been “programmed for removal.” It indicates that the problem persists. Let us assure you that there is a way out of this situation, and we’ll show you how to do it. Because previous stages won’t work if you don’t follow these instructions, you must start here if error 1072 occurs instantly. The DeleteFlag found in the EAC registration folder will need to be deleted or edited in the following procedures.
To remove the DeleteFlag:
Step 1: To access Regedit, type “Regedit” in the Windows 10 search engine into the Start menu.
Step 2: MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services/EasyAntiCheat, you’ll find the “EasyAntiCheat” service listed (if you copy and paste it in Regedit, you should take it to the right place).
Step 3: DeleteFlag can be modified by selecting “Modify” from the context menu and changing the value from “1” to “0.”
Step 4: Shut down your computer and start it up again:
Step 5: Restart your game if EAC is active without any issues.
Following these instructions, you should be able to turn on the EAC and restart your game without any issues. Try to restart your computer immediately and see if it helps. If it doesn’t, don’t panic.
Rust error code 20006, 1058, or 1072 can be quite frustrating because they prevent you from fully participating in the game’s experience. It’s also difficult to locate a solution because many people on the Internet supply incorrect information about the correct procedure for resolving a problem and creating more serious issues.
